Are you looking for an extra challenge or a reason to move more in your day? Did you know that if you’re under 8,000 steps a day, you’re considered sedentary? Take on the monthly challenge and see if you can stick to it for the entire month! We will choose a bodyweight movement and specific reps for each month so everyone can participate since you don’t need equipment. There is no prize for winning other than better health, which is rewarding enough!
The October Challenge will be 1,000 burpees accumulated within the month. You can do as many as you want a day to chip away at those reps. You could plan to do 32 burpees a day plus one day of 33 and get them in that way. You could also do 100 one day and skip a couple of days then another 100. However, you do it as long as you get to 1,000 burpees.
The challenge will be written on the board and if you plan to do it sign your name and keep track of reps on there to show you are doing it. This is the honor system, so be honest about your reps. When you cheat, the only person you’re hurting is yourself!
Encourage your buddies at the gym and have a little friendly competition with each other!
